Jerry the astronaut has decided that he does not want to return to Earth. Theodore the Mission Control capsule communicator does everything he can to stop it. Living in an alternate past that mimics 1980s America, this show pulls at the all too familiar feeling of wanting someone who doesn’t want you back, and the not so familiar situation of that person being hundreds of light years away, orbiting our planet through the themes of time and space, unrequited love, identity, homosexuality and the sacrifices we make to be citizens of this planet. What happens when, even in infinite vacuum of space, the elephant in the room is the scariest thing of them all?
